The COVID-19 pandemic unveiled the vulnerabilities in our national supply chain, with the majority of PPE being sourced from foreign suppliers who chose to withhold supplies during the crisis. This realization sparked the need for change.
The founding of SafeSource Direct not only addressed the immediate need for reliable supplies but also strengthened American PPE supply resilience – the long-term ability to withstand disruptions and maintain a reliable supply. We now produce millions of units of PPE every month, with the capacity to increase production by 130% during shortages or critical situations. In fact, our U.S. facilities are currently producing chemo-rated nitrile gloves with FDA 510(K) Clearance – on track to produce 12 billion gloves annually.
